City of Long Beach Launches Youth Opioid Awareness Campaign

  Long Beach, CA – The City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services ( Health Department ) is launching a youth opioid awareness campaign. The campaign, led by the Health Department’s Harm Reduction Program and in partnership with the Youth Leadership Institute (yli), will run through October 2025 and provide young people an opportunity to develop skills through youth-led storytelling in multimedia workshops that will encourage youth engagement, raise awareness about the opioid epidemic, and increase access to educational materials about opioid overdose prevention techniques. Beverly Hills, CA – The Beverly Hills Film Festival (BHFF) is thrilled to announce the celebration of its 25th anniversary, taking place from April 1-6, 2025. Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame 2025 Honorees

The Long Beach Motorsports Walk of Fame is more than a tribute to individual achievements; it’s a celebration of the communal passion for racing that unites fans, drivers, and the city itself The City of Long Beach and the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach have announced the 2025 inductees into the Motorsports Walk of Fame: Scott Dixon, Jim Michaelian, and Beverly O'Neill.  The honorees will be celebrated at a public ceremony on April 10th before the 50th Anniversary Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Dixon is a celebrated IndyCar Series champion, Michaelian is the President/CEO of the Grand Prix Association, and O'Neill is a former Long Beach Mayor who championed the Grand Prix.  Each honoree will receive a bronze medallion to commemorate their contributions to motorsports and the Long Beach community.
